Welcome to That’s What Sheetz Said, our new Sheetz blog!
If you’re here, I’m guessing you’re already a Sheetz fan. Which makes me a big fan of you, too! Feel The Love goes both ways, you know!
So we have a relationship (we’re even using the word love!), but do we really, truly know one another?
When my father started this family business 60 years ago, he was in a prime position to really, truly get to know folks. He was the only employee behind the counter! In those days, getting to know your customers was as easy as striking up a conversation.
We’ve grown a lot since then. Today, with more than 440 stores, conversations with our customers are a lot harder to come by. Sure, we hold focus groups and conduct surveys to gather feedback from our fans. In fact, we depend on that data to make decisions about every aspect of our business.
But do customers really get to know our people and the great stuff they’re doing behind the scenes? Not really. Stories like that won’t fit on a billboard. And when it comes to customer feedback, like most businesses, we tend to hear about really great experiences, or the rare bad one. There’s not much in between.
That’s why I’m excited about this blog. I’m the President of Sheetz, but this isn’t going to be my forum alone. Many of our employees have interesting stories to tell. Some of them will be Sheetz family members, sure. Six of my uncles and cousins as well as my son are active in the day-to-day management of this company! I’m sure you’ll meet them. Other members of our Sheetz family may have different last names, but play no less important roles in bringing you the best in Total Customer Focus (we call it TCF). We want to introduce them as well. All are passionate about giving you new and better reasons to Feel The Love! Trust me, it will be well worth getting to know them.
So please, tune in to read what they have to say, to see what they’re up to. And then, don’t forget to let us know what you think. Let the conversation flow!
